When it comes to business Wi-Fi, performance is key to running at peak efficiency. Speed and reliability is crucial to keeping pace in a highly technological world. On the other hand, as performance increases you find diminishing returns on your investment in WiFi, so it’s important to consider the cost of your Wi-Fi hardware to achieve the best possible ROI. Finding the right balance between high performance and cost effectiveness is absolutely essential.

This is where Ubiquiti Unifi comes in. Ubiquiti was established in 2005 and quickly disrupted the enterprise WiFi industry by providing top quality performance at a previously unheard-of price point. That’s why we use Ubiquiti Unifi Wi-Fi for our customer’s networks, and you should too.

A recent 3rd party test conducted by Alethea compared high performance access points from top enterprise WiFi companies and showcased why we love Ubiquiti so much. The Ubiquiti UAP-AC-SHD went up against the likes of Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Mist and Ruckus. The Ubiquiti access point costs less than half that of any other access point. Judging by price, the Unifi Access Point shouldn’t be able to compete with these far costlier alternatives, right? Read on to find out why Ubiquiti is such a good WiFi choice.

Why We Love Ubiquiti Unifi:

1. World Class Performance

Alethea tested the APs with a range of devices including laptops, tablets and mobile phones. They conducted tests with 1, 32 and 100 devices at a time for a variety of uses, including downloading, uploading, streaming video and running VoIP calls. They tested the APs performance across the devices and gave each access point a score for each category and added up the tallies for a final score.

As expected, no single access point performed the best in every situation. Performance varied depending on the number or devices and the type of data transfer. But averaged across the board, the results were astounding. Despite being by far the least costly option, the Ubiquiti Unifi UAP-AC-SHD performed better than any other access point tested on average. It excelled in data throughput, being the best performing in half the categories and the second best in the remaining categories.

We rely on Ubiquiti’s high performance for our installations in difficult locations from a Wi-Fi perspective, such as warehouses and logistics yards. They provide the signal strength, throughput and range that we need for difficult applications.

2. Great value for money

The UAP-AC-HD was not only the performance winner overall, it was less than a third of the price of the next best value access point when measured by cost per point scored in the test. We love Ubiquiti Unifi because it delivers top level performance at a great price point.

With Ubiquiti, you can save on your WiFi infrastructure costs without compromising your performance even a little.

3. Easy to use software

It’s not just the Ubiquiti software that makes us choose them as our preferred Wi-Fi provider. We also love their Unifi Controller software. Its intuitive and visually appealing design make it easy for us and our customers to use and truly optimize their Wi-Fi networks. Our software developers create bespoke integrations with Unifi’s API to make the most out of your Wi-Fi network. For example, we created a bespoke Guest Wi-Fi portal that integrates with Unifi networks, enabling guests to sign in using with an email address and access the guest WiFi.

Unifi is not just about great hardware at a great price. It’s about a cohesive, joined-up Wi-Fi network that is greater than the sum of its parts. When every piece is expertly designed to work together, including the Access Points, Switches, Security Gateways and software, you get the best possible result. That’s why we design and implement Wi-Fi networks from back to front with Ubiquiti Unifi.
