Alethea tested the APs with a range of devices including laptops, tablets and mobile phones. They conducted tests with 1, 32 and 100 devices at a time for a variety of uses, including downloading, uploading, streaming video and running VoIP calls. They tested the APs performance across the devices and gave each access point a score for each category and added up the tallies for a final score.

As expected, no single access point performed the best in every situation. Performance varied depending on the number or devices and the type of data transfer.
